Re: carrying spares and state inspection

You have motorcycle inspections in Virginia? Wow. More screwed up than Cali.

Re: What's everyone doing to pass the time in isolation?

As I work very part-time in retirement, it was easy to just take two months off. Honey do's just about exhausted. Maybe one trip per week into town for necessary errands, some bicycle riding (which I do all the time anyway) and oh yeah, taking one or another of my various motorcycles out on geocachi...

Re: A map that shows the locations of users on the forum

The member map idea is still a very good one, but obviously has to be done right from a tech standpoint. ZeeMaps???!! How about researching how to do it right with Google? Seems to work well on other forums I belong to.

Re: A map that shows the locations of users on the forum

A big YES to this idea! Other bike forums have this feature and it is great for finding riding buddies. I don't really see other folks editing the pins as a big problem because I doubt that would happen, the fact that it COULD notwithstanding.

Re: Front wheel chock/holder for Aluma trailer

Thanks for all the input and good advice. Investing $40 - $60 for a chock to help secure a several thousand dollar vehicle in place makes sense. Minimal cost for potentially mega-benefit. One more query: hand winch versus just driving the rig up onto the trailer in 2WD???

Front wheel chock/holder for Aluma trailer

Just bought an Aluma 638 to haul the Ural and was wondering if all you guys with Alumas are using a chock since the front rail is so low??? Not really the same issue with the front wheel turning as a two-wheeler, but seems it might loosen the tie-downs if it happened.

Re: 2019 Ural Factory tool roll

Thanks guys for info about the 5/8" wrench and the T15 driver. I found out I also needed to add a 3/16" Allen wrench the other day when the support strut for my Memphis Shade (made in USA) windshield shook loose on a bumpy dirt road and the 1/4" bolt fell off! And bigger zip ties.

2019 Ural Factory tool roll

So, I noticed past posts mentioned items like a hand pump and tire irons as being included; these must've been phased out as my factory tools are several end wrenches, a few right angle Allens, pair of pliers, combo screwdriver/handle, wrench for the nut on the spare tire mount, leverage handle for ...

Re: New Owner in California

It seems most of the USA folks here are non-West Coasters. On the Grom forum (yes, I have a penchant for oddball niche bikes) they have a map where you can post your virtual "location pin." It's handy for finding other like-equipped people in your vicinity to ride with. Anything like that here? Than...

New Owner in California

So, ordered my 2019 Sahara GU several months ago, and picked it up at Triquest Motorcycles in Santa Clara, CA end of July. Can’t say enough great things about Ski and Keith at Triquest — knowledgeable and experienced about all things Ural (only brand they sell) ,made me a good deal on the rig, bent ...
