‘How to remove the gas tank’ for Dummies

I recently purchased a Raceway reverse shifter and will need to remove the tank to install it. I have searched for instructions on how to do this but unfortunately, can’t find anything that suits a newbie/dummy i.e. for an EFI rig. I would SINCERELY appreciate links to sites or threads that cover th...

As an afterthought you might want to add a leather or wave washer between the knob handle and the front mount....
Great advice, thanks GH!

As I recall, the kit came with a longer mounting bolt and a replacement reverse lever.
That’s just what I needed, thanks so much Matt!

Re: OEM windshield, mounted but.........

Why not take the bulb out of the right turn signal you'd like to remove and see if the rest continue to work as designed. If no issue then remove the signal. My guess is there will be no problem removing the turn signal but it is just a guess. That’s a far too logical and thoughtful idea Jeff and o...

Re: Reverse Shift Lever (? OEM)

From the photos it looks like it bolts up to the front sidecar brace. The heim joint end will require you to mod (flatten) both sides of the knob on the OEM shift lever before drilling it out. Be careful pulling the lever to work on it. Use a puller. Too much goosing it around and it can disengage ...

That would be great, thanks Matt!

Reverse Shift Lever (? OEM)

I recently picked up this (NOS) reverse shift lever from our local dealership: https://www.ural-shop.com/en/acc-upgrades/154-reversegear-gastank-shift-set.html. Unfortunately, it did not come with any installation instructions and it is not readily apparent how or where the shift lever actually moun...

DB9DB079-5843-4A3C-B879-92CCFE9BEFDD.jpeg In Canada, our bikes have turn signals on both sides of the bike. While the one on the left can be easily moved behind the fork, the one of the right appears like it may hit the steering damper if moved back. One option would be to remove the right turn sig...

Re: How to make a 2017 tachometer functional.

Ok my answer works so far. Mychron rpm sensor for cart. https://www.bmikarts.com/Mychron-RPM-Sensor-for-Kart_p_950.html Came with no instructions so I just clipped it on the plug wire and laid the wire along the length of the plug wire, put the other end to the grey loose wire in the headlight buck...

I think its too late Kevin, significant damage has alredy occurred. Merely wanted to make sure there wasn’t any misunderstanding or worse, erroneous information that might mis-lead anyone in the future. My next positing will relate to the procedures for successfully mounting a commode in the sidecar...

Re: 2018 GU Neutral light & Reverse Lever Issue

Trufully, I’m totally confused at this point Bill. My practice, based on instructions from the dealer, is: 1. Put the bike in neutral (neutral light on) 2. Pull the clutch lever in 3. Push the neutral/reverse pedal back/down (with my heel) to put it in reverse (neutral light off) 4. Pull the clutch ...

Re: 2018 GU Neutral light & Reverse Lever Issue

Bill, when shifting out of reverse, I depress the pedal fully forward and at that point, am in neutral. I can then shift into first gear. Unless I’ve misunderstood your post, it has not been my experience that depressing the pedal forward will put me in gear. Your post suggests that several of us ar...
