Re: I wish Ural made compact tractors!

My brother was at a U Shoot it Bisson operation up North, they had a Mahindra off road rig. Impressed. Jeep is suing them because it looks a bit like a jeep even if its a non road rig, weird stuff. Those things are awesome. I had a chance to test drive one. And they don’t just look like a Jeep........

Re: CL Find - IKEA Ural?

Inflation will do it, but dude will need to live to the age of Methusaleh to sell it for that price. I gave more away to Chad just because he showed up with a truck :) Yes, and gratsi for your generosity. I will endeavour to transform your gift into a thing of beauty, even if it takes me to the age...

Re: Gas Can Spout - Update

There was another thread on this subject a few years ago. If you use a spout, funnel, or pump you're going to spill fuel. I use a ten liter NATO type fuel can with a Wonder siphon (I think that's the name, it's a flexible plastic hose with a shaker valve at one end, very slick, about ten USD, got m...

Re: F.U.B.A.R. Central Florida Ural Riders 2020 Ocala National Forest

I’m in for sure. We will be in the woods all by our lonesome. I’d say if you are sick or been around someone who is sick then don’t come. Possibly plan to do all meals there instead of any rides to restaurants. That being said we will have to see how it progresses. We may not have a choice (as in ca...

Re: Had to use 2w drive this past weedend...

I had to use mine a while back. I drove down into what I thought was a dry pond bed..... turns out only the top layer was dry and baked. Below that was a nice layer of slick mud that promptly caked up on my tires. 2wd and a little creative driving got me and my kiddos out no problem 😈

Re: Damaged Sidecar (could have been a LOT worse)

Most Ural dealers are not set up to do bodywork. A smaller independent body shop is usually more likely to do this sort of job. I went to one that does bodywork and builds hot rods when I needed some work on my tub. They fixed a lot worse spot than that for $600 or $700. I forgot the exact amount. ...

Found some better views. For sure a bag and a sediment bowl.

That looks like a really good deal though.

Re: second spare wheel for front with disc brakes

If you wanted to stick with your original idea.....

You could buy another spare tire mount (like on the trunk lid) and put it somewhere else on the sidecar. Possibly the top front,or outside front near the sidecar step.

Thinking outside the box here.

Got it. Wish I had someone near me with one just to see how close I am. I seem to have the aforementioned calibrated ears I guess (musically inclined). Like I said mine runs like a top. I had them balanced...ish with an old school vacuum double gauge setup and then tweaked from there. Had to re-twea...
