Re: 2019 Fuel Injection Hiccups Cold

Could see low voltage making a kickstart more difficult. Haven't noticed my Ural having a hard start in the 30's and Goldwings start right off everytime unless the battery isn't in such good charge. Guess I'm lucky to have a garage to stuff vehicles in  https://media1.giphy.com/media/l0ErSSDj2...

Re: 500km Service on an Out of Warranty 2016 GU

Agree completely with Jeff and Joe, the 500km service wasn't difficult. Your probably a lot better off doing it DIY unless you really have a strong feeling about taking it to Redmond. If you have tools around you should be able to manage just fine. There is lots of forum and internet info available ...

Re: What did you do to your Ural today?

Alas, put it away for the winter. I’m not afraid of a little cold, but the (stuff) they use to treat the roads around here is brutal. It ate my last truck in 5 years. Once the roads go white, I’m done until spring. (Now I have time to lurk and post online. :-) This bothers me too. Only going out if...

Re: The new Harley's

From a design POV not a fan of the new HD's although I do like Harleys in general. Beautiful bikes. But I'm living in the $5-15k suburbia and they are trying to sell $30-45k in the upscale neighborhood :)

Re: Throttle lock available?

Installing grab on's (grip puppies) really helped with throttle hand ache. Like Mike mentions those grips can be too small for some peoples hands.

Crampbuster sounds nice. Maybe IMZ will go throttle by wire next year and make it easier. 😃

Re: Sidecar Wheel Spacer

On the older rigs there’s a spacer that fits on the axle before you put on the wheel... distances the hub from the bearing... it’s somewhat difficult to get out (and I’m not sure if’n the newer, 3 disc rigs even have ‘em)... if one’s supposed to be in there it’s considered a wear item and will caus...
