Re: Newbie: should I be using the parking brake?

I park with my bike in gear and just use the brake when parked on an incline to augment the gears.

And you can probably get them locally?
I'm looking but I don't think so. This style looks to be completely European but the world is smaller thanks to the interwebs :hungry:

Re: Retro/M70 tail light LENSES???

Wow, you guys are awesome, thanks for the tips  I just finished upgrading my bulbs to LEDs so that's why I was looking for just the lenses. If it comes down to it, another option it to do a complete swap out for a solid LED setup. I found a while back that in England they call this style o...

Re: Retro/M70 tail light LENSES???

Round lenses like that were a staple on utility trailers for many years. I would check at NAPA or a truck supply shop locally. You may find what you need. A boat shop that sells boat trailer parts is another possible source. Look online at West Marine or simply Google boat trailer lights/lenses. In...

What about that? https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=m570.l1313&_nkw=9EL+126+294-001&_sacat=0 If I´m not totally wrong, it might be the lense for your taillight. Ask one of the sellers for diameter...I reckon, it is 115 mm over all (4.527 ") I think this was the clue I was looking for...

Retro/M70 tail light LENSES???

Anyone know where I can find replacement lenses for the round tail lights on Retros & M70s? Someone hit one of my tail lights the other day and it has a couple of small cracks. While I don't need to replace it immediately, I want to pick up a couple of spare lenses to replace it and have a spare for...

Re: I told the wife it's a "grab handle"

i personally go the DP-28 route, as its at least the one the Soviets used on the M-72 during ww2, the MG-42/34 were the German version. Ya I think the DP-28 looks cooler too. Two reasons I'm leaning toward the MG-42 is that it should fit the bracket and I've found one that is an Airsoft gu...

Re: I told the wife it's a "grab handle"

all you need now is a deactivated DP-28 machine gun. i have a soviet machine gun that i use on my mount at car shows. makes the Ural look like a ww2 machine to the very, very, untrained eyes. Actually, something like that is in the works. I'm planning on going with a replica DP-28, MG-34 o...
