My buddy has a Paul Smart Ducati. He says when he looks at it, he cannot wait to get on it and when he's on it, he can't wait to get off.
I am breathing life back into a triumph and feel the same way. Some decisions are just plan bad.

Re: 1960s style Cafe Racer!

Thank you, I hung gutters for a living a couple decades ago and still have big irons. Is an electric iron better in this application, also are soder pots unnecessary? What type of soder and flux is best?

Re: 1960s style Cafe Racer!

My throttle cables are connected to a chain and absent of a ball end. I believe a different set of Russian bars are in my future because I haven't had much luck in past attempts to solder cable ends Do you want a guide to soldering ends? I find it quite easy . Soldering, brazing and welding was a b...

Re: Need a complete Dnepr mt16 or earlier engine

Just an FYI, a Ural 650 will bolt on your Dnepr trans. You'd need to sort out a few things like exhaust headers, but it is an option of finding one is easier. I converted an MT16 to Ural motor and was very happy with it. Did you use a 650 or 750? I have a 650 Ural in a MT16 considering options like...

Re: $500 CJ in San Francisco

That's a good start. I have an airhead motor and a MT 16. The clutch/gearbox is what's expensive

Re: $500 CJ in San Francisco

If I'd had seen this it would be in my garage now. Second inexpensive CJ I've missed out on this year. A sidevalve in Tahoe and this. It's not meant to be. I should focus on BMW conversion parts

It's posted on my significant others page, and she thought advertising licence plates wasn't a good idea and made it private. I'll try again on my you tube but I was having password issues

Re: Hobbies are good

He's always ready to go. I was off sick for a few days with the flu and work told me I had to get the covid test, it was very intrusive. Waiting for the negative results took five days so I killed some time. I've never lined up my bikes like this, if it wasn't windy I would have played some fiddle.
