Direct from St. Petersburg, Russia! Soviet Style Windshield.

This is another Ebay purchase. I think the styling fits with the bike better than any other windshield I've seen (other than the OEM fairing). The mounting system looks like it was sourced at a local hardware store. I added locknuts and anchored the shield to the headlight with some steel cable. It'...

Re: Dry Clutch Shifting

I'm trying to slip it less, especially getting started from a stop. What seems to work best is to give it plenty of gas first, and then let the clutch all the way out. I'm used to slipping the clutch a lot more when starting from a stop in 1st gear, especially if I'm on a hill. More gas, less clutch...

Re: Dry Clutch Shifting

You guys are right. Using the heal shifter solves the gear grinding issue. I still have trouble starting from a complete stop without slipping the clutch a lot. What do you guys do, just drop the clutch and go?

Dry Clutch Shifting

Do any of you shift the Ural differently to account for the dry clutch? I find myself shifting slower and more deliberately. I try not to slip the clutch too much. To get going, I give it plenty of gas, put it in gear and let the clutch go. I'm not saying I pop the clutch, but I don't let it slip as...

Re: Review of ChangJiang CJ750 Ural Dnepr Side car windshield kit

I took the ChanJiang out for a test drive on the highway and it held up well (didn't move around or anything). Like all windshields, you have to make sure everything is tight. But as long as it is, it works great!

Re: Review of ChangJiang CJ750 Ural Dnepr Side car windshield kit

I got the windshield on EBay. Shipping was $30.00. It's bolted down pretty tight but I'll take her for a spin tomorrow to make sure there are no high speed (for a ural) problems.

Re: Duro 307 vrs. Duro 308

What tire pressures do you guys run at?

I was at 35 lbs all around. Did some research here and will try 40 lbs, hoping they squirm a little less....

Review of ChangJiang CJ750 Ural Dnepr Side car windshield kit

20170307_173832.jpg 20170307_173845.jpg Well, I bought the ChangJiang windshield, and so far I'm happy, especially for the cost, which was $90 plus shipping. If you buy one of these, I can help you with the installation. The "directions" are good for letting you know where to drill the two holes. O...

Duro 307 vrs. Duro 308

I have Duro 307's on my GU. I think that's the off road tire. The bike is great on off roads but seems to be out of its element a little on pavement. And I wonder how much of that is due to the tire. Have any of you tried both the 307's and the 308's (I think the 308 is more of a road tire)? If you ...
