More oil means more cooling. Not really. It doesn't get extra cooling, simply because you have more oil. The ONLY real difference, is it will take LONGER for oil to get up to full operating temperature from cold (like bring FULL pot of water to boil, vs. just a little in the pot). Once it gets ther...

A dirty air filter will make it run RICH. Since he must have enricher on as it is, to get it to run, it means it is running LEAN. Clean air filter will make problem WORSE.
