Re: The big trip

Here is the situation as of now. I swapped out the rear wheel for the spare. (In my last post on the big trip I called the spare a waste and just extra weight. How wrong was I.) That went fine the disc came off fairly easily and it all went back on the bike without problems. Are they serious about t...

Re: The big trip

Checked Bill's site I am not sure if m wheel is the same as he has but it looks fairly similar. I just hope i...

Re: Rear wheel bearings

Thanks again for the info. Experience I have owned a lot of worn out machinery in my youth. Wheel wobble and cracking sounds are 2 reliable clues. Really appreciate your time and assistance.

Re: Rear wheel bearings

Thanks Albuquerque. Just realized the spare is for the rear thought it was for other 2. I will start hunting for the bearings tomorrow after I install the spare. To answer the bearing question, experience, I have owned a lot of worn out machinery, wheel wobble and cracking sound are typical clues. I...

Re: The big trip

What size are the bearings maybe I can get some here. I can have some shipped from Ural Miami but it would be a lot easier to get them here...

Re: The big trip

Hotflash asked me about what mechanical issues we have had. So just from memory here it is. We bought the bike new in Oct ’16 since then I have done all fluid changes and maintenance per schedule. I made sure to run the bike in slowly and carefully and that has paid off. Cruising speed is 80k and ma...

Re: The big trip

Hotflash I am working on that request. It is so much easier to be a procrastinator in the tropics and just blame the heat. I will try to post in the next few days and if not we will be out of contact from 6/26 until 7/3. It will be the next post.
