Re: Fuel Light - Worthless
After the 3rd failure on my 2016 cT, Ural replaced it under warranty with the reed/float sensor. It worked correctly for several months. Now, it works in reverse. Stays on until it gets low. That sounds like a short, might want to check the wires. It’s not a short. I had mine replaced with the new ...

Re: Ural Ranger 2016 dies after 140km driven
I had my 2015 Patrol fuel filter stopped up and shut me down. I had just filled up and moved the bike waiting on the wife. Still had gravity flow but not enough for the fuel pump to move. I now change filter every 10000 because of this.

Re: Downshifting and gear grind while clutch is pulled
I have some MADDOG GREASE that you can’t get any more. I started use 3M Moly 33 that we use on jet engine splines. The servicing schedule does list all splines at 10000 km. I have talked to others and they recommend the transmission splines be lubed. When I get to 60000 km depending on how the clutc...

Re: Downshifting and gear grind while clutch is pulled
I ride a 1982 R65 and 1975 R90/6. When I got my Ural I was like riding my BMW’s. I shifted it just like my BMW’s up and down shifting. At 28000 km the hubs teeth went and transmission splines are notch. Ural replace transmission and clutch under warranty. I have quit down shifting for slowing down. ...

Re: Emergency Brake
The compound helps or stops noise. It has nothing to do with drag, same as the main pucks, they get moved away by the motion of the disk. I am not against it at all, but its not a drag issue. I never said anything about the pad dragging and creating friction. The compound is used so the pad stays i...

Re: pickup truck box sidecar instalation
The way I read his post is he wants to transport the rig I the bed of a pickup. A short bed pickup I don’t think will work. A long bed pickup might work.

Re: How did you come to riding a Ural?
Have always wanted a sidecar. When I first saw the Ural at the motorcycle show in the late 80’s I knew that I wanted on. A week after Thanksgiving of 2016 I got my 2015 Patrol.
