Trying to figure out if I can trust the local Ural service shop

Recently had a wreck and the shop recommended replacing the sidecar. The whole thing is going to be covered by insurance, but I'm trying to make sure the shop is shooting straight with us. I have a 2016 Ural cT which needs a new sidecar. They originally quoted a price of $4000 to replace the sidecar...

Re: Ignition Switch Replacement

I'm also chiming into this incredibly helpful thread to ask... how do I get the darn thing out in the first place? I've tried my usual methods of "pulling harder" and "pulling harder while turning" already.

Re: Damaged Sidecar (could have been a LOT worse)

I wanted to say thank you again to everyone here for your compassion and concern, and for your excellent and sincere advice. Absolutely no problem from my standpoint as far as wondering into quasi-political issues, and I absolutely agree with holding people accountable. It's a really terrible inters...

Re: Damaged Sidecar (could have been a LOT worse)

Thank you both for your insights! I'm definitely considering filing a claim through insurance but will call around a bit first and at least get a body shop to look at it. Wooden Nickel have you had any problems with the tub since then?

Damaged Sidecar (could have been a LOT worse)

Me and the wife were in a wreck on the 2016 cT the other night. It could have been really bad; we were going about 30 mph when a car flew past a stop sign (in his defense, it really isn't well lit at that intersection) and right in front of us. Fortunately the sidecar makes for a really stable left ...

Excellent. Your post could easily help other forum members.
I hope so! Or at least provide them with a false sense of security like I have :D

Fixed!? I guess? 2016 Ural Running lights/headlight fuse blowing

I guess this is one I actually managed to fix without starting a thread about it; which doesn't mean that I didn't consult about a dozen other threads on here. 2016 Ural cT ("Minka"). The bulb for my pusher-side running light recently died and I replaced it; shortly after that the entire bike went d...

Re: 2016 cT electric noise (video)

Thank you both! Gobium, I'm going to check out what you mentioned as well; I appreciate the advice.

The turn signal switch seems to have been responsible for the noise; I added a squirt of WD40 and wiggled the switch back and forth, then turned the key and ... no noise or anything! Thanks!

2016 cT electric noise (video)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PdcrzWlpPLk https://youtu.be/PdcrzWlpPLk My 2016 cT has developed an electric whine; I discovered it when I prepared to take it out yesterday, and had to take the Hyundai instead :( It was ill-advised, but I went ahead and cranked it; started just fine. I also put the...

Re: 2016 cT Air filter

Thanks for the suggestions all! I went with the K&N since that's what I've got in all my other vehicles and I've been happy with them. Thought about trying out the Spectre instead, but I'll try a new and unknown (to me) brand on my 2010 Hyundai Elantra or something, not my beautiful Minka.

2016 cT Air filter

Based on reading other forums, I expected to open up the air filter compartment on my 2016 cT and find a reusable J&R filter to w@$# off, oil up, and put back in. Found this instead: IMG_9386.JPG IMG_9387.JPG So, definitely not reusable; but I also have no idea what type this is or how to find the r...

You guys are awesome, thanks so much! In another thread somebody mentioned spinning the wheel when you change the final drive oil... I have no idea what that means.

Noobie 2016 cT oil questions.

Ok, submitting this here for people to ignore or ridicule. Getting ready to do my first oil change (MY first, it's been changed by it's previous owner) including engine, transmission, final drive, and a new oil filter. Just to help you ridicule me best, you ought to know I'm super intimidated by thi...
