Re: Van Got "Karen'ed"

Van by chance do you have the whole video string that you could show to the Annapolis City Council?

It might make for good news on a local channel even though the police will say they were "following up on a complaint".

More reason to stay in the Ozarks....just sayin'

Keep the faith!

Re: iridium Spark Plugs

"The reality is they look OK with no ceramic damage, no erosion of the electrodes at the 12 and 36 month intervals. I notice absolutely no performance difference installing new plugs over old plugs. My "spare" plugs I carry are the cleanest, least rusty plugs I've removed while bike was running perf...

Re: iridium Spark Plugs

Follow up - 3 days of out and around riding - 400 km on the clock added. Throttle response is much improved - still no popping - maybe they are gapped better? Will check the old plugs for gap, but I had done that prior to placing in at 10k service. Nothing scientific on gas mileage, but it appears a...

Re: Another hack added to the herd

All you need is the rocking chair on the top of the spare for your bride to ride - shotgun in her lap of course.....

The Gordonsville Hillbillies!!!

Thanks for the reply - appreciate it.

Re: Another hack added to the herd

Chad,

How'd you set up that can on your hack? I want to place a couple on my cT, and thought that location would be a good spot.

Do you have any pics on the set up back plate behind the can?

Also, do you have any parasite drag or noticeable difference in handling when it is full of liquid?

Re: iridium Spark Plugs

Put some iridium plugs in today for my 20k maint. I must say that I was not necessarily a believer - until now. Nothing drastic, but enough to feel smoother throttle response at low RPM's. My dealer had sold them to me last year and said to expect some differences in response and fuel burn - I'll be...

Re: Social Maintenance Day

I would like it very much if I could return to the Goodwin Palace for a maintenance day. At least now, I have some experience with my rig and I’d like to look at some of your modifications again. :D Besides, I need to break in my new cylinders and pistons :) "There comes a time in your life when yo...

There are a few good threads about this if you search. Short and sweet, the OE damper is junk. Sean0262 makes an adapted VW damper which was a worthwhile addition to my rig.

+1 on Sean's Dampener - best mod I ever did to my cT - reasonable priced and an easy install...even for me.....

Re: What did you do to your Ural today?

5K (20k on bike) Valve adjustment - was surprised that my port side exhaust valve was a bit loose (over .004 so adj to .035). All others still at .035 - weather is getting much hotter in a few weeks - hope it isn't too tight for 90+ degree weather....thoughts???? Bueller? Bueller? I'm guessing you ...

Re: What did you do to your Ural today?

Finally put the seat that I swapped with INSUBORDINATOR last year - about time..... Ooo looks very like a 'Lycette pattern', I got one, and fitted very like the same way. Looking good. :) - real-nice.jpg Thank you Waz - I have had opportunity to put about 3,000 km on it now - longest trip in one da...

Re: What did you do to your Ural today?

Ran the bike up to temp (225 deg. F) and could hear all valves doing their thing - WOOHOO!!! Wait for them to cool off a bit and recheck clearance.
