Re: EVER hear of or SEE A "STRIBOG"

LOL, If you can't hit the killbox at close range in your own home with the first round or two, what are the other 28 going to do?
Looks like fun though.

Re: High Tension Terminal

Using some pliers, you can roll an actual normal everyday high tension terminal available at the local auto parts store into something that will screw on to that screw but it will get loose just like the stock wires do. The NGK resistor spark plug caps that I used on my copper core wires have a simi...

Worth a shot!!! But, what keeps it from just shooting out the back? The muffler is the same diameter the entire length
Thanks!
Yeah, it will come shooting out the back if it's that straight through and there's no baffle at all. Works great otherwise.

Re: High Tension Terminal

A screw is inside the coil. The terminal is pushed onto this with somewhat of a click.

OK, let's start at the beginning. What is it that is unknown? What information are looking for that isn't in these and the linked threads?

Re: High Tension Terminal

it was basically a woodscrew-pattern intended to have the wire twisted onto it without a terminal. And the coil was a Delphi model that when I dug around, seems to have DNA tracing back to lawn tractor-intended-applications. If the post-14s are just putting a terminal onto the woodscrew, well, it's...

Re: Quiet Baffle for Ural of NE 2 into 1 Exhaust?

For a dollar, you can go to the dollar store, buy some stainless steel chore boy. Take the muffler off and gently insert one of them into the inlet end and put it back on. Use the rest for the dishes. Remember, it needs to flow somewhat freely so don't pack it too tight and it needs to be stainless ...

I have a academic curiosity too, but fear the answer devolving into an oil thread. I like Ilya's answer.

Re: What did you do to your Ural today?

Are they begorrah? Not sure how this translates to the east side of the pond. Yes, the stock wires are carbon core wires. Those NGK caps work fine on the plug end and I have solid core wires with 5k ohm resistor caps. The crazy proprietary coil end connector loosens up as you take it off and on mak...
