Re: Sidecar stub axle length difference

Here is the official response from Ural. Guess I'll work on getting everything put together tonight. "They changed this about 5 years ago, but it doesn’t cause any issues when installing it, and there isn’t any additional parts needed. The long slip-joint in the sidecar driveshaft has enough space t...

Re: Sidecar stub axle length difference

Gene said it is the newer part and I should use it if it doesn't bottom out when installing. It appears I would need to loosen the final drive and slide it over a little bit so I can get everything put in place. Just afraid it might be too tight, but I'll give it a go.

Sidecar stub axle length difference

I ordered a replacement stub axle for my 2009 Patrol. The replacement axle is about 3/4 longer at the base. So it pushes the u-joint back. Is this ok? Is it a different stub axle between the models with drum vs disk brakes? Attached a photo of the different axles.

Thanks

Re: Moog 341BL Ujoints won't fit

Thanks for the replies. I did finally compare the two new u-joints I received to one I was able to remove in one piece. The two new one are not the same. One was packaged in a MOOG box, but does not appear to be MOOG. The weird thing is the one that appears to be MOOG is a little bigger. In the phot...

Moog 341BL Ujoints won't fit

I am rebuilding the sidecar driveshaft on my 2009 Patrol. I had purchased some MOOG 341BL ujoints and they seem a little long. I can't get them to fit with the clips. Am I just being an idiot? I thought I had read before that I just needed 341BL Ujoints.

Do I need another brand/model?

Thanks,

Larry

I have a 2009 Patrol and need the short sidecar splined shaft. Part number 8.107 - 05514. I took everything apart and I need to replace the bearings and the short shaft.

Re: Sean's R3W Steering Damper kits ready to ship

Great product and fantastic customer service! The first damper Sean sent was lost by the folks at USPS. Sean quickly sent out a replacement at no charge while we wait for the outcome/refund from the USPS. Instructions were great and easy to install. Being new to sidecars and having only had my Patro...

And you got the trailer too? Now a great deal. Congrats and Good Luck with you new adventure.
Actually paid a little over $7,000 to include the trailer. He had another buyer that was willing to pay full price but I had cash in hand first.
