I went out to see the rig on Saturday. The guy wasn't available, so his wife let me take a peek at it. Here are some pics. She couldn't find the keys so we weren't even able to try and turn the bike over. I doubt that it would have anyway considering that it was just barely above zero outside and it had been months since the last time it had run.
According to the owner, he'd had it powder-coated and some other cosmetic stuff done. The paint on the front fender is starting to peel off so that my require a rattle can job until I could get the other issues sorted out.
As far as the engine, though, it looks like that hasn't had any mods done to it. The tires are most likely original. All three tires are cracking along the sidewalls.
I do have a question. Is the VIN stamped on to the left side of the fork neck stem like on my Honda, or is it on a sticker on the right side? The number stamped into the left side seems too short to be a VIN.
Anyway, I'm thinking of offering $2K with just a title and key, $2200 if the engine starts and $2500 if the rig runs forwards and backwards under power.
