Been running it in my electra glide for a while and like it not paying crazy prices for redline or am soil when Quicksilver is only $24 a gallon.

It is a crude base stock though so not a true syn. FYI!

Well now. This is the first time I have used a synthetic and I did it on a whim. Have put a couple hundred km's on the bike and have noticed to difference. No change in idle.


Interesting - first thing I noticed when I used syn was that I had to lower my idle. Not being a chemist, I just figured having to lower idle = less friction = better. That's what sold me.

Really think any good quality oil syn/dino is fine. engine life is based on maintenance/driving habits and luck IMHO. I use the expensive redline in all three departments. The cost is not important to me, as i can wast money on all sorts of useless crap. Redline is a placebo to me, it makes me feel better even though i really don't know if its doing my engine any extra good.
