750CC Tourist issue here:
I'm adjusting the valves prior to the FART, and discovered that on the left side intake valve, I can adjust the clearance, but when I sung up the locknut it doesn't tighten fast against the rocker arm. IT just keeps turning, and as a consequence turns the adjuster outwards and opens up the clearance.
That adjuster bolt is relatively new, and threads in and out of the rocker arm, so I'm assuming the nut is stripped somehow. Does this sound correct, and if not, what else could it be?
If any can tell me what nut fits that valve adjuster, I'd appreciate it. I'm off to O-Reilly and some other errands so will check while I'm there.
