Sorry, Van, for the delayed response, I don't know the difference or equality of a JIC and 10an (never even heard of 10an) pretty much the ones you pictured are the ones I can get,,,in different angles and in blue and red.

Hi Van, "AN" fittings are very common in aircraft use. Compression type fitting. Most aircraft compression fittings are 37 degree vs automotive 45 degree. Don't know about JIC.

The hose in your photo looks like "AN" fittings and the hose just screws into the base of the fitting very tightly. They work fine and last for years with no leaks.

JIC is 37 degree too. The only common use I know for 45 degree is propane and natural gas. Haven't messed with AN fittings but with JIC the number is the size in 16ths. So a #8 JIC is 1/2" & a #12 is 3/4". You can get the thread sizes for both from the McMaster Carr catalog. The couple sizes I looked at looked to be the same.
I may not be good, but I'm slow.

If they'll work on the '14+ as well count me in for one.

Regarding the original question, the main thing I know about AN fittings is that they can get really expensive really quick. I've got a '71 C10 with a 383 LS1 that's being retro-fitted with an under-bed tank and fuel injection. The -10 AN lines and fittings for a return style system were going to be around $1,100, and that's "at cost" per my mechanic.
'14 Patrol purchased 1/9/16, OR 1.02 map, 497km on first engine. New engine, throttle bodies, throttle cable, rear brake pads/rotor, final drive and 2wd shaft u-joints as of 8/20/16. Mods

I've used AN fittings for years making brake lines. Never had a problem. You'll need to be careful about your tube end cuts and the initial seating of the tube end on the fitting. I have a small tool that you insert into the tube end before you put it on the fitting. The tool helps you check the end cut and slightly expands the tube for the fitting.

They can also be overtightened.
