Thanks everyone. My problem isnt loose bearings per se, its a hard throb on the sidecar wheel when the breaks are applied. I only have about 5000 miles on the bike. I was assuming it was the drum deforming from heat, but someone suggested that I check the bearings as they can cause the same basic problem. When i jacked up the wheel I found what I considered a lot of play in the wheel bearings them-self, not the axle. I can stuck a finger in the bearings and move them more than I would expect. Im gonna replace them as I already have the parts on order, and see if it fixes my problem. The inside of the drum (hub doesnt look unevenly worn and seems pretty smooth, so Im hoping for now thats not the issue.

What would Ivan do? Get plastered, fall off the bike and sleep it off in the sidecar.
