SO, cateyetech, after your Monday deadline and order placement, how long would you estimate before your next container arrives and we get these fresh new buns to sample? I ask because, after 28,000+ kilometers, the Mobile Chernobyl's front Heidenau K28 is aaaaaalmost ready to be changed-out.

While you're at it, see if they can figure out how to get the whole rig with the Rotax based motor here as well.

WOOHOO!! I just did some research, if a K28 fits your bike (like they do my M70 but not my Retro, I tried this AM using the "universal" spare from the M70, looked mighty strange, but I digress) then this mighty good looking Kenda should too! The Kenda is 115mm wide, the K28 (and most Heidenau 18" tires) 117mm...math doesn't lie often. put me down for 2! As I say often, the joys of owning a low production, hand made vehicle...all just a little different.

Looks like ordering from Taobao is a no-go.
The shipping will cost more than the tires themselves.
Guess I'll wait on the cateyetech "express". :lurker:

Hey TCF

I suspected that

Everything from China comes here either air or sea
and in your profession you know the difference in maintenance and load capability's between the two

We have had samples sent air before and WOW!!!! $$$!!!!

have popped up here on SS a few times and there has been some interest shown
I did some research looking for a 19" version but :(

I did find them in China and we do have a container or two come from there ever 2-3 months
and we have had our contact in China acquire things for us and ship along with our product 8)

So I might be able to get some of these if there is any interest
Their not cheep and shipping plus import tax/fees
but if you really want some $120-140 per tire I would guess
and 2-3 months till our next containers arrive

I am NOT!!!! trying to make money from this :foilhead:
just trying to help out :foilhead:
so you will pay cost + shipping to you

Please no jacking around :?
I'll have what little money I have in these 18" tires that I can't use, so if you have me get you some, there yours!!!

I will let this thread run until December 18th and see what the total is
and then email our contact :)

If you want some of these tires please post in this thread how many you would like to have.

Not that I have any snow and ice to ride on, I wonder how these would do if someone was to drill them nice flat surfaces full of ice studs?

They look like heavy duty Trash truck or container truck tires, and if they hold up like them that would be a good thing. The ride? Trash trucks and military vehicles are not known for their ride and handling. I'm running Block K's on my Retro and aside from the pusher I don't think I would put these tires on that rig. I might consider them for my Gear Up, but I'm to damn cheap, with Duros available in the $60-$70 range delivered, and a steady supply of $10-$20 knobbies available from swap meets and my local dirt bike shop, I've got no good reason to try them.
Not to be negative, just my point of view. I'm glad you guys are doing this and I look forward to your reviews. If I remember correctly it was a push similar to this from some forum members that made the Duro 307 available in the States, so thanks for getting the ball rolling.

Happy trails,
