ImageThat's a beauty. What do you call that headlight bar treatment? I've wanted to try and find one but all searches under headlight bar or trim comes up zilch. Is it a primarily a BMW trim accessory? Any ideas?

Hi,

If you buy this bike in New Hampshire, it's only $3000 :)

I took a cue from another member here a few years ago that had a most beautiful Red October. Bought the BMW headlight guard as he did from Blue Moon. Reproduction of course, I don't remember what it cost. Media blasted and powder coated black for about $20.00. I suppose you can get it from any MAX BMW location at their on-line parts site or Bob's BMW as well.

I can't remember whose Red October this is but up there with one of the most beautiful rigs and I guess limited edition models.

Headlight guards are all over the internet. I bought a BMW one for my /5 in 1973, I think it was like $60 at the time. Copies are around $35 now.

The copies have slotted mounting holes. The originals have single, round holes.

I was wondering that as well. It's not a DMC product, and it doesn't look "European" from the details. The tub does not appear to have any spot weld marks on it, and in one shot it almost looks like you can see fiberglass "print through". Some of the mounting hardware look contemporary with Cozy.

Nicely done regardless. Might be a BoxerMetal custom build.

I emailed the owner, we'll see if he is interested enough to give me a reply.
