On-line Ural Purchase

Postby karg » Tue Dec 05, 2017 10:57 pm

Hi,

What's the best place on-line to buy a new Ural CT, and have it shipped to my house?
There are no Ural dealers within 100 mules of me !

Thanks

I know several dealers deliver, go to https://www.imz-ural.com/ call nearest dealers and see what kind of deal you can make
past afflictions include TR motocars and bikes, R60/2 & a R65, MGs, and a Citroen.

At one point assorted documents had to be completed face to face with the dealership.

I suspect delivery from the right dealer is best option.

Some of my family have asked if Urals come with social lives, I am thinking they do, we have met the nicest people with our Ural.

Don't know about "online" but it can be done by phone and some mail time. I've done it. If it's cash all I had to do was mail a cashiers check for the total amount w/o sales tax or reg fees. I paid the sales tax and reg fees when I later went to the DMV/DOL and registered it. My dealer was out of state. Along with the bike came the needed reg forms. If you have to finance it I don't know how that's done and what's involved? In any case when registering it you will need to have the "original" Certificate of Origin (NOT a photo copy). There's only about 1/2 doz dealers I would trust to do the set-up and Pre-Delivery Inspection correctly. I'm not gonna list them here in fairness to those not on my list. On a new Ural, dealer set-up is "critical".
Give us a clue as to where you are located and you'll get a good dealer recommendation reasonably close to you.

+1
I purchased my M70 from a trusted out of state dealer by e-mail and mail. They sent me the nessary paperwork and I went to the DOL myself to pay the tax, title, plates, and registration. The rig will be delivered locally to me.

Tail-hook?? Was that an interim upgrade for the drum brakes before they went to discs?
