Just spoke with Duane the owner of the Summer Lake Hot Springs (real nice guy) about the 2016 SOUR invading his establishment. Some of the things that came up was that there is only 5 RV hook ups, so if this is what you are looking for, best to reserve as soon as you know for sure that you're going to be there. He mentioned also that if we were looking to have a "base" camp he suggested renting one of the cabins (100 $ per night) which would then allow for an indoor kitchen.....space for four people....room to set up tents around the cabin ( 20 $ per head per night). Having the cabin would allow for use of a (private so to speak) kitchen and bath/shower.
If you're strictly looking for an "improved" tent site....you might want to reserve one of those. I think they have camp tables and fire rings. $20 a head a night for those spots.
The field is primitive.....no fire rings or tables....but still $20 a head a night.
Should you have any other questions, ask and I'll try and find out or feel free to call and talk to Duane at 541-943-3931.
