Jan Rainbow on the Hudson River

Postby UC Keith » Sun Jan 10, 2016 6:51 pm

The sun came out today so I got out for a short ride. Got socked in a short down pour but after it passed saw a double rainbow over the Hudson River, in Nyack NY. Only one came out in the photo.

Looks nice. I was on the "other side" riding everything I own on 2 and 3 wheels. When ya gonna have a chance to ride in 58 degree weather in NY in January??

Did you see how around 4:30-4:45 the Sun came out and Blue Skies cleared? It's usually dark then. Just crazy.

After two weeks of to cold, to rainy, or just to sick today was a real treat. From about 3:00 to 4:45 is was amazing except for the 5 min downpour.
58 in January was a real gift. I could take more January days like it.

What is that thing in the water? A sunken fishing boat?? Looks like it has huge holes rusted through it!

Ooo, I'l play. My guess from 3,000 miles away would be a moored fuel barge or maybe a pipe barge for a near by dredging operation. Doubt those white spots on the hull are rust holes, more likely tie-up bumpers.
