Who is the manufacturer

Postby brookscooper » Wed Apr 25, 2018 1:30 pm

So, there's a motorcycle / sidecar for sale at an estate sale near me.

Looks like a 50s - 60s Ural with telescoping forks.
Has the blocky indicator assembles that Urals have / had.

But the tank emblem is 5 triangles arranged in a pyramid and in the middle a larger triangle that looks like a cross between a masonic symbol and a capital letter A.

Just wondering. What is that?

You described the Dnepr tank emblem, it is a stylized russian letter D.

Is there a reason the Dnepr emblem looks similar to the Radioactive warning sign ??? :sarcasm: Just Kidding. Hope the rig works out. Good luck.

Chernobyl, something else for the Ukraine to remember the Soviet Union with...
Old Dnepr, year, whatever the paperwork says it is and that should be your story if you buy, and stick with it...

I enjoyed my 1980's DNEPR.
Some reason the spare tire holder looks crunched down on the inboard side, & the tub cover looks pulled to one side - like the tub is twisted ?
