SOLVED! So, there is a small chunk missing from my kickstart paw holder and that was allowing the kickstart to get stuck in between the two stoppage points that are attached to the gearbox shell itself. *facepalm*. This would make it impossible for the gear to move CW or CCW to turn the actual kickstart gears. Here is a video! Now I can breath.

Or am I wrong...? I took the kickstart gear apart and noticed that it still clears the first stoppage. Image

Perhaps the missing material is allowing your pawl to be misaligned.

I just snapped a couple of pics of my 650's ratchet and pawl mechanism for reference.

If I can provide additional reference imagery that might help, just ask.

I'm also just gonna leave this here...

I'm debating on whether I should buy a new shaft or just have a local welder fill it in.. I'm very unknoweldgeable about welding and would think that the weld wouldn't be as strong as the original, I'm unsure though.

UPDATE:

Gearbox is finally fixed! I have one little problem though, does there need to be some type of rubber spacer in picture number 2 where my finger is pointed? I don't recall their being anything? ImageImage

Is that Jersey Pine Barren Mud? That's bad when you get so much on your main ride, it comes back and migrates to your project bike. ;)
