With reliable electric starters today, I would think they need to put more grunt into their singles. If they are going to make a cafe' racer type of bike, it needs to do more than just look like a cafe' bike.
They have the potential to make some very interesting retro bikes that perform like modern machines. Creates a chassis similar to a featherbed, put a really gutsy engine in it with good suspension and I think the would have a real seller. But then again, I'm not sure that the younger generation, which is who I think is buying most of the new bikes these days, is into retro stuff unless it is Harley or Indian retro. I might be all wet on that, but sure have that feeling.
