jwaller,at the end of the Ural manual is the engine light code info ,also says to turn off the light after a issue is solved just toggle the big red button 3 times in 2 seconds should turn off the yellow engine light. Original issue was probably from trying to find a way to shift triggered the light for some reason. All this is IMHO as im no mechanic!!

It looks like you are heading up through the Hot Springs/Custer area of the Southern Black Hills. If you know the date you are heading through there, I might be able to meet up with you, and ride that section. If you want some company that is.

I call this Camp Wannahakalugi. This is at the Canyon of the Eagles resort on Lake Buchanan near Burnet TX. Thanks to Charlie (Ural CT) and Mario for help with the setup and alignment. Bike's better than ever. Even my wife is starting to warm up to the chair.

Finally got a new tire for my pusher. I hadn't ridden my Ural since I got back from my big summer adventure at the end of July. We both needed a break from one another and my Ural literally needed a brake as I lost parts of the rear brake on my way trip. The parts came into AF1 in Austin a few weeks ago but then we had Harvey in the area and gas shortages. I tried to pick up the parts last weekend and made my way to Austin to find that AF1 was closed for Labor Day weekend. I got the parts and a rear tire this morning and put it all on the Ural this evening and gave the bike a 1 mile ride around the block. I need to adjust the rear brake as right now the sidecar brake is way too sensitive. The sidecar wheel locks up with very little pressure on the brake lever. Other than that, I'm glad to have had the break from the Ural but I'm looking forward to more (smaller) adventures and mis-adventures in the coming weeks.

Last week I ordered a new u-joint for the final drive and ordered a Heidenau tire to use as a pusher. Hoping to get those parts ASAP. The u-joint has some play in it and I want to get that fixed before doing any real hard riding. I hope to get better mileage out of the Hidenau than the Duro tire I've been using. Anyone else have experience with the Heidenau's? Is it worth the extra price or did I just waste money making the purchase? I figured I'd try one out and see how it all shakes out in the end and be able to report. Anyway, heading to the Harvest Class in Luckenbach tomorrow and hope to see some fellow Uralistas out there.

Went for a good ride on my Ural for the first time since getting back from my summer adventure. I did 175 miles and the bike ran just fine. That's great because I have been lacking confidence in the Ural after all that happened over the summer. Hoping for some more good luck tomorrow. I plan to take my daughter to meet some guys for breakfast and then we're going to ride to the harvest classic bike rally in Luckenbach.

Just put on the new Heidenau pusher at 32,000 km. We'll see how this holds up.
The other pusher I pulled off had 1700 km and was looking good. It will become the spare for now.
