Hello all. I just bought a 2013 patrol in September. Already have 900+ km on her. Not to bad when you consider I live in central PA and work full time. It took some time to get use to. I bought a Ural for a couple of reasons. First and for most I've wanted one the first year they were made available in the US. It makes a nice addition to my stable. And second I had a stroke in 2012 and I can't hold a heavy bike up if it decides to fall over. My right side isn't a strong as it use to be. I've been having a blast with her in the snow. The 2wd is awesome. I've learned a new riding style. My days of riding 100mph are over. I've always loved taking back roads. Image

Looks great in the snow, eelawson! These things are so different from 2 wheelers it's like learning to ride all over again. It just keeps getting better.
past afflictions include TR motocars and bikes, R60/2 & a R65, MGs, and a Citroen.
Now a 2012 FF GU and an 87 K75s
dual K&N cones on PVC intake, 40/137.5

That an understatement. It in no way the same as riding my 76 FXE. And it is only getting better. I've had more fun in 4-5 months, than I think I ever had on my HD.

You have some great riding down there. Hope that we can meet up with the growing central Pa contingent.

Hi all.
I'm new to the forum and have just registered. I live in Germany close to Belgium and Nederland.
I own a Triumph Thunderbird 1600 as a solo bike and like it very much. But I think I'm in love with a Ural gear up because I'm looking for a winter bike that can also be used off-road. So I went to different forums seeking informations and ended up here. Love to watch all the pics here and to read all the stories. Might have a lot of questions before ordering the Ural bike by end of summer (the plan so far).

Welcome to the insanity!!! Once the Ural bug has bit you, there is no cure. Where in Germany do you live?
