Re: Slow starter turn over, won't start, help

Well it was a bad battery. Voltage was only 11.6 and my battery load tester didnt even read into the good part of the scale. Replaced it and fired right up. This is the second time I have played with the battery. First time was to install my grip heaters. I had almost forgotten just how friggin cram...

Slow starter turn over, won't start, help

So, havnt ridden the outfit in a month and went to start her up and she responded like a dead battery. It is 30 degrees here, not that it matters. The usual electronic buzzing sounds that happen when I turn the key on sound very weak, again like anew almost dead battery. Headlight looks pretty bright...

Re: Tires loosing air

http://sovietsteeds.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=45417 Thanks for the link, I didn't find it when I searched prior to writing this thread. This is a sad state of affairs. I can't believe that this issue appears to possibly be so wide spread and so little discussed. Filling tires once a week i...

Tires loosing air

I noticed that alll 3 of my tires had lost a lot of air over a couple of months or so. I was Suprized to see they were at 10 or 15 pounds each. I really don't recall the last time I checked them. It could have been no more than 90 days, but I could be wrong it could have been more like 6 months, but...

Great time yesterday. Awesome weather, nice 100KM ride, fantastic complimentary Russian lunch served by Ural NE. Met lots of great local owners and some not so local.

Re: Sustained 75 mph?

Issue 022 of Iron & Air is almost entirely devoted to a 10,000 mile cross country trip with two Urals. In the body of the article, after describing a few modification they made to the engines (nothing we haven't heard about before) they claim they could sustain 75 mph. Maybe, but never-the-less...
