Thanks for posting.

I made my own, by adding a universal 1157 socket from the auto parts store. this reverses the backwards Russian polarity for LED bulbs.

Re: Ural vs 3rd party accessories

Thought they all came with floor mats now? Mine did and is a CT. :o The URAL accessory matts are snazzy - but way overpriced. I used my original matt as a pattern, & bought some cheap black ridged carpet-on-rubber backed DOORMATS, to make vehicle floor matts, from Home Depot, then cut to size w...

I didn't know 650cc Pushrods were UNOBTAINIUM. Last ones I bought were CHEAP, & I would do that as long as I could - first.

The Above Taurus, & the Beretta it is copied after are both real fun to shoot. Light with little recoil, thereby promoting excellent accuracy at close range. Of the 2 the Beretta is better, & more expensive. I wouldn't mind owning one myself, even though I have several little pistols. To wim...

Re: Ural or "Custom" question for Folks who have (or have had) BOTH

IF I wanted to drive a Sidecar on a long super slab trip, it would not be a Ural. With adequate resources, I would probably build up a Goldwing tug, & probably use a Ural hack. Because I'm old - I ride my Ural locally only, because my enthusiasm no longer outweighs the discomfort of getting extr...

Re: What to look for when buying used?

Do your research on the faults of the year model you are buying, be aware of what up grades it has - or needs. Familiarize yourself by searches & reading here & 'My Ural" site, even Google reviews of the specific year & model in question. *BEST ADVICE: BUY THE BEST ONE YOU CAN AFFOR...

Re: Mounting Head Temp Sensor

That's a neat accessory, I had one on a /2 BMW I had for awhile. It had been done years ago by engineer P.O. it worked very well. I have never considered doing it to the subsequent boxers I have owned, for 2 reasons: 1) It ramped up MY anxiety & was distracting while riding = MAIN REASON. 2) Sin...

Re: CA ACCIDENT

IF no one was hurt (which was impossible at speed involved) The rider would have been ticketed for the rear end collision for "NOT having their vehicle under control". Basically rear ending someone has traditionally been the drivers fault - no matter what the other person has done. Horribl...

Re: KBB vs. NADA vs. Real world pricing

Great deals CAN be found IF you are a pretty fair mechanic. I bought my 02 750 Tourist knowing the left cylinder barrel & head were disassembled. somewhat compensated for by low miles, nice upgrades, equipped to my liking - for $3k. I freely admit - I'd probably had a lot more fun just riding a ...

My Urals have been Kid & Babe magnets, No Nasty's. Oddly Enough My civilian Royal Enfield gets lots of attention. A surprising number of east Indians have been really glad to see it here. One guy hugged me & almost cried - it made him so home sick. I'll bet he went home & started shoppin...

IMO the federal ban (now being ignored on the internet) ought to be lifted, so USA makers can get back in the game. what is this federal ban you speak of? on switchblades? :? at the Blade Show in ATL last month there were sellers of all kinds of switchblades and OTF (out-the-front) automatics. ...

My Ducati 860 SS Replica would do 130 MPH without a crossover, Also none were present on my 02 Kawasaki W650 - with spectacular performance. So not to concerned about losing more non-performance from the URAL.

Re: Which metal shears do I get... ?

The top tool IS for light PLATE steel (it should say how thick in specs). The bottom is a sheet metal shear (I have an Air powered one) Does ok on light sheet metal, but curly cut metal gets in the way on curves.
