Re: Recommendations for a Ural mechanic in S.FL

Think you, like me in Naples, are on your own. These rigs are pretty straight forward and even a basic wrencher can complete all of the service and maintenance. Even some of the bigger jobs are doable by asking the collective for help, advise, pix. I did everything on my ural and I have no right arm...

Re: let's talk about engine tuning (jetting, mapping) and exhaust and power curves

The amount of air flowing through your engine will have an effect on performance. I came across this when building the leftka series of airboxes. The CFM of airflow is regulated by the size of the inlets and outlet (intake and exhaust). There is an optimum CFM across the rpm range. Generally a lower...

Re: Car oil vs motorcycle oil?

Your rig...do what you want...you'll get a lot of different answers here. I always used royal purple 20x/50 synthetic mc oil in the engine. It has additives that mc engines need, synthetics handle the heat better and the independent tests I read convinced me it was superior at protecting the moving ...

Re: Fuel injection tuner - HELP get one

If the EJK works on the efi ural like it does on the Indian, you guys will love it. Easy 1-2-3 tuning, basically on the fly. No plugging in, hooking up, dyno, unscrewing, insert, etc...I have made a few adjustments on mine since installing and she runs cooler and much better...great for richening up...
