Re: Have you ever come out to find somebody sitting on your bike?

I rambled around there during the same period. It was less crowded. Now I go down there in winter to avoid the tourist crush. Its still fun in the summer, however, if you are patient.

Re: Have you ever come out to find somebody sitting on your bike?

We get them up here in Maine at Acadia National Park. When I first got my Gear Up I took a toot up Cadillac Mountain and was surrounded by tourists taking pictures and petting the dog. About half were from a cruise liner anchored in the harbor. Personally, I love all the tourists who visit in the su...

Re: Have you ever come out to find somebody sitting on your bike?

I'm sure all of us who drive these rigs are on people's phones and cameras all over the world. How many times have you been on the road and have a car pull up beside you and when you look you see somebody pointing a camera or phone at you?

Re: Have you ever come out to find somebody sitting on your bike?

I've never caught anyone climbing on my rig. I have, however, invited a young lady, or two, or three that I catch admiring it to take a seat while I take their picture with their phones. It seems the gentlemanly thing to do.

Re: .38 ACP ?

That is fairly much the bottom line for some people. It's either carry a smaller caliber or nothing at sll. Almost any gun is better than no gun. There is a state cop that lives up the street from me and he told me he carried a 22 semi-automatic pistol as backup into domestic situations because he k...

Re: .38 ACP ?

I have a Beretta New Puma in .32 ACP. It makes a nice carry piece when I don't feel like hauling around my Springfield Armory officers size.45. One of the salts at my gun club gave me a hard time about using it as a carry piece one time when I was down there running some new reloads through it. He d...

Re: We lost one of the best First Ladies ever.

She was a big supporter of the children's hospital services in Portland. A patient of mine took his daughter there many times for the extensive care she needed. On more than one occasion he ran into her in the hospital. He described her as a very kind and caring individual who exuded class in every ...

Re: Top speed

When I rode from Idaho back to Maine, I maintained a surprisingly high speed. My rig was hauling me and a fairly light load of my gear and I had retained the fairing but removed the hack windshield. I often wonder if it had much to do with the availability of ethanol-free gas. On thing that really s...

Re: Need word on Seattle area

The weather out here has been clear, bright and warm. Much warmer than usual. Unfortunately, while this is great for riding, it has left the state in abnormally dry or drought conditions. Can't have your cake and eat it, too.

Re: Need word on Seattle area

Psychiatric care for him will cost you nothing. If he is on welfare, he has a social worker that should be able to guide him through the process of getting evaluated. The problem usually is that the patient has to want to do it and the social worker has to be one that actually cares. Unfortunately, ...

Re: Need word on Seattle area

I see this type of person where I work daily. This is a bigger burden than you can or should bear alone. You do not indicate in your statement whether or not he has engaged with psychiatric help. If not, you might consider an evaluation of his health. It's the kindest thing anyone could do for him.

The foot controls are different in that it has forward controls. The gearing is definitely different. No way the gear up can go as fast as that wolf can.

Re: Wolf Trashed

Yes you can. Just don't allow yourself to get so attached that material things rule your life. When all is said and done they, like us, will return to the Earth from whence we came. Life is a wheel.
