Re: Babe is Now Even Faster

Been wanting to do this mod for a long time. Finally put together the funds and time to accomplish it. Replaced stock lights with the Retro lights. Now I don't have the added drag of those stock clunky square lights. Which means I now have an even faster blue Ural!....... :boogie: I finished mine w...

That would have worked to, my fix seems to have gotten it thoug. Our bikes are same year, although mine is likely lower mileage. Have you seen this before Darrell?

Not a fried wire like that, but I have seen those plastic holes strip out.

Re: 2010 upgrade

Only way to know for sure would be to pull the camshaft and look.

Upgrades to 2010 include rocker arms with needle bearings and the bearing at the end of the camshaft. Maybe Ural still had a stash of left over rockers and used those up first?......

Re: Thoughts on this possible 2016 purchase.

I’m 99% sure that it is not a ct. Sure looks like 19” wheels on it. The giveaway would be the rear wheel. It is a large hub wheel......19”.

That is a Patrol.

Re: Babe is Now Even Faster

Those lights really look good, and the extra speed, that’s just the icing on the cake! Another side question-what size Rotopax fuel and water containers did you install? Any photos of the mounts? Thanks in advance.. Santa The gas container is a Kolpin JR. 1.5 gallon canister. Right now they aren’t ...

Re: Carb Leaking Gas

Might want to check your engine oil too and make sure there is no gas in it. If your intake valve was open at all gas will run through your cylinder down into the oil sump.

LED bulbs in those units? You know it will be even faster if you do have them  Yep lower Wattage means less horse power used for generator. :P Exactly!! Might not be much difference......but maybe enough to be the difference between breaking the sound barrier or not  The stock filament ...

Re: EJK

Once the silver TB butterflies were replaced with black, and a good sync was performed, the annoying quirks were minimized and after a few thousand KM they went away altogether. Black bodied throttle bodies? I have been out of touch, is that an upgrade, and was it warrentied? My Patrol is a 14 I be...

Re: Babe is Now Even Faster

Darrell, we talked about this off-line about a month ago. They really, really look great. Assume you got the parts from Gene... he had a bushel full of them when I went for a visit to him during Daytona? So you have inspired me to sand/prime/paint and install the Retro lamps I have stashed away. Ca...

Re: EJK

Darrell, So your thoughts are to either build the cables, download the program, rather than drill the throtle bodies and buy an EJK? I know you've been over this, so your experience would be appreciated IMHO the OR1.02 map is the best you are going to get with the EFI Urals at this time. If you wan...
