Spotted in Skowhegan Maine Area

Ok who was in my neck of the woods today June 22nd on an olive Drab with a hack windshield?
Haven't see the rig around here before.

Re: Maine Fall Camp (October 8th 9th 10th)

I can't commit this year. The back is still recovering and I can't do more than an hour in the saddle with out being crippled up. I'll see how I feel on the weekend and might swing up just for the day to say Hi. Sleeping on the ground isn't going to work this year.

Re: Is this a Ural part?

Looks kind of like a chewed up roller bearing. (Part of a u-joint) if you took one of the caps off.

If this works it's a video with pictures of the build over a range of sounds the weave can produce.

Re: Had to change hobbies for a while

Awesome guitars, the tele weaving looks killer! Any vids on the sound? A hollow body Epiphone with the weaving instead of violin cut outs would be sweet. Nice work and sorry about your back. There is a crappy audio recording that I did with my phone. Haven't been able to get an extra pair of hands ...

Re: Had to change hobbies for a while

Thanks everyone. After fighting with a PITA insurance company denying a Dr's request to fix my back for the 2nd time since January, after jumping through all their hoops twice looking back and seeing all your responses was the pick me up I needed. Not sure I could carve a Ural (most of the wood I us...

Had to change hobbies for a while

Right after the camp of the undead in October I really screwed up my back and have needed a cane just to be able to make it back and forth to work, so I've been working on something else rather then the bike since it's been siting there looking longingly at me. I decided to put my love of guitars an...

Mine had the outer metal case so yes it was real tight between the frame, i.e. darn near couldn't get it in there.

I did the same thing.

Re: Paint on mufflers question

Painted mine with flat black rustoleum 2 + years ago, no sanding, no priming, no cleaning. 90% still there only spot with it worn off is where my foot hits it on kick start. Easy fix is just hit that area with paint again every once in a while.

Re: Castom Motor Saycle for sell

Hi I have a bunch of parts that didn't fit or complete an actual bike so I will call it custom and say that the spaces between the engine and transmission is on purpose for better cooling, and I couldn't find the valve covers so it's better just coats everything with oil as you ride.

LOL
